How do I get to Brno and to the pride parade site?

Brno is situated in the southeast of the Czech Republic. It is easily reached by plane, train, bus or car. The airport is a small one, and Brno is connected by flights with several European cities. The main north-south railway line in Central Europe passes through Brno, which means that it is easily accessible by train from most points in Europe. The journey from Prague by fast train takes three and a half hours; EC trains take only two and a half hours. Vienna is even closer, only 1 hour 40 minutes away. Many cities in Europe, and most of its major cities, have direct coach links with Brno. By car, you get to Brno via trans-European highways E50, E55 and E65.

Náměstí Svobody (Liberty Square), the pride parade gathering and launch site, is the central square in Brno city; you can easily walk there from the main Railway Station via Masaryk Street or from Moravské náměstí (Moravian Sq.) via Rašínova Street.

What to bring to the pride march?

Come in a good turn, bring your friends or family with you. Rainbow flags, banners, and any other colourful objects, or small musical instruments, are the best equippment. There will be a Queer-shop stall on the pride parade site. Leave bags and other things in the hotel, just take clothes according to the weather, and some water to drink. There are cafes and restaurants nearby or around the city, where you can get refreshment (below, we recommend some).
